Gong alternatives 2026: 9 compared by price and fit
2026-10-22 · updated 2026-10-22 · 6 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa
Gong publishes no prices, and Vendr's buyer data puts the median Gong contract at $55,430 a year. The cheapest alternatives that analyse sales calls publish their prices: Fireflies Business at $19 per seat a month billed annually, Fathom Business at $25 (2 users minimum), tl;dv Business at $29, Sybill Pro at $30, Avoma at $48 (Startup plus its Conversation Intelligence add-on) and HubSpot Sales Hub Professional at $90 plus $1,500 onboarding. Chorus by ZoomInfo, Jiminny and Salesloft quote on request; Clari is now part of Salesloft, and its Copilot page redirects to Salesloft Conversation Intelligence.
Checked on 22 October 2026 against each vendor's pricing page as a US visitor sees it, plus Vendr, Gong's terms and help center, and Reddit. US dollars, excluding tax. Revexa builds Leo, a buying-signal agent; it is not a conversation intelligence tool and is not in the list.
Order: the lowest price per seat a month, billed annually, for the cheapest plan that analyses sales calls (coaching, scorecards, trackers or deal insights), as a US buyer sees it. Tools without a public price come last in alphabetical order.
Why teams look for Gong alternatives
Gong's pricing page says "Licenses are priced per user" and "There is a platform fee based on the number of users supported", without amounts (pricing). Our Gong pricing guide covers the details. The common reasons to look elsewhere:
- Price for small teams. Vendr's median is $55,430 a year across 1,146 purchases, and Vendr estimates $1,200 to $2,400 per seat a year, with contracts typically starting at 10 to 15 seats (Vendr). In r/sales, a team of 5 to 7 reps "got quoted around $20k+ per year" (January 2026), and in r/Sales_Professionals a 15-person team questioned "spending $18k/year" before renewal (December 2025); one reply in that thread reported a quote of "30k$ for a year (9 seats + 10k setup)". These are single, unverified posts (thread 1, thread 2).
- Renewal terms. Gong's standard terms (updated June 2026) renew subscriptions for a year unless you give notice "at least 60 days before the end of the relevant subscription term", and a renewal with fewer seats "will result in re-pricing at renewal without regard to the prior term's per-unit pricing". Fees are non-refundable.
- Paying for more than you use. The 15-person team above said "most of us just want meeting notes, action items, and basic call insights". For that job, several tools below cost a fraction of Vendr's per-seat range (our calculation).
9 Gong alternatives compared by price
| Tool | Price from (billing) | Free plan | Call analysis on that plan | Best for | Wrong choice if |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fireflies | Business $19/seat/mo billed annually ($29 monthly); Pro $10 ($18) for notes only | Yes | Conversation intelligence, team analytics for admins | Small teams that want searchable calls and notes | You need forecasting or deal management (not listed) |
| Fathom | Business $25/user/mo billed annually ($34 monthly), 2 users minimum | Yes, for individuals | Coaching metrics and AI scorecards, CRM field sync, Deal View | Teams that start free and add coaching later | You need forecasting (not listed) |
| tl;dv | Business $29/seat/mo billed annually ($39 monthly); Pro $18 ($29) | Yes | AI playbook monitoring, objection handling, scheduled AI reports | European teams that want a German vendor | You need forecasting (not listed) |
| Sybill | Pro $30/user/mo billed annually ($36 monthly) | Yes, 20 meeting summaries a month | Deal analysis ("analyze deals") and meeting summaries pushed to your CRM; no scorecards or trackers listed | Reps who want deal summaries and CRM updates | You want to avoid usage credits (2,500 a week on Pro) |
| Avoma | Startup $19 per recorder seat billed annually ($29 monthly) plus Conversation Intelligence add-on $29 | No; 14-day trial | Coaching, call scoring and trackers in the add-on; forecasting in the $29 Revenue Intelligence add-on | Coaching and forecasting at a published price | You need more than 25 paid seats on Startup |
| HubSpot Sales Hub | Professional $90/seat/mo billed annually ($100 paid monthly on an annual commitment) plus $1,500 onboarding | CRM free for 2 users | Conversation intelligence and forecasting | Teams already working in HubSpot | You only want call analysis |
| Chorus by ZoomInfo | Not published; Vendr estimates $1,000 to $2,000 per seat a year | No; demo | Call analysis, coaching, deal intelligence | ZoomInfo customers | You want a small contract: Vendr's typical minimum is 10 to 15 seats |
| Jiminny | Not published; "bespoke to your team" | No; 14-day trial | Recording, transcription and AI included | Teams that want no platform fee | You want a price before a sales call, or less than 12 months |
| Salesloft | Not published; Vendr median $30,740/yr for Salesloft overall | No | Conversation Intelligence, with Clari Forecast from the same vendor | Teams that run Salesloft cadences | You want a public price or call analysis alone |
"Best for" and "Wrong choice if" are our judgement; the other cells are vendor statements. "Not listed" means the vendor's pricing page doesn't mention forecasting. Vendr figures are buyer data, not list prices.
What to know about each alternative
- Fireflies. Pro gives unlimited transcription and AI summaries and 8,000 minutes of storage per seat; Business adds unlimited storage, multi-language mode, conversation intelligence and team analytics; Enterprise costs $39 a seat, annual only. The free plan is "Free forever".
- Fathom. The free plan includes unlimited recordings and transcriptions. Team costs $15 a user billed annually ($19 monthly), with 2 users minimum; Business adds "CRM field sync, updating records after meetings automatically", "Deal View" and "Coaching metrics & AI scorecards". Fathom offers a 90-day guarantee.
- tl;dv. Run by tldx Solutions GmbH in Aachen, Germany (imprint); the pricing page lists "GDPR & SOC2". Pro adds unlimited AI notes, 5,000+ integrations and an MCP server and API; Business adds team-wide integrations and automations with "No usage-based AI fees".
- Sybill. The free plan gives unlimited call recordings and transcripts, 500 credits a week and AI summaries for 20 meetings a month. Pro's plan card lists unlimited AI meeting summaries (the comparison table on the same page still shows 20 meetings a month for Pro) and pushes summaries to your CRM; Business ($90, or $108 monthly) adds CRM autofill and API and MCP access.
- Avoma. Viewers and collaborators are always free; you pay for recorder seats. Startup with both add-ons costs $19 + $29 + $29 = $77 a seat a month billed annually, or $924 a year (our calculation), below Vendr's low estimate for Gong. Enterprise costs $39 a seat, "Billed annually only", with a minimum of 10 paid seats.
- HubSpot Sales Hub. Professional lists forecasting, conversation intelligence and sequences; Starter has a notetaker and calling but not conversation intelligence. From Sweden, Professional shows as €90 per seat. See HubSpot Sales Hub pricing.
- Chorus by ZoomInfo. The product page offers a demo, not a price. Vendr's Gong guide puts Chorus at $1,000 to $2,000 per seat a year against $1,200 to $2,400 for Gong, with the same typical 10 to 15 seat minimum. A January 2026 r/sales poster found it "in the same price range once you factor in the ZoomInfo requirement" (unverified).
- Jiminny. Prices depend on the number and type of seats (Recording, Insights and Listener). "Our minimum contract length is 12 months, billed monthly or annually", and there is no platform fee, "just a one-time setup fee". The pricing page offers "full features for 14 days" with no credit card.
- Salesloft. Salesloft and Clari completed their merger on 3 December 2025, and on 2 September 2026 "Salesloft is now the company and platform brand going forward", while "Clari Forecast retains the Clari name". clari.com/products/copilot now redirects to Salesloft's Conversation Intelligence page, and Salesloft's pricing page is titled "Talk to Sales". Vendr's median of $30,740 a year covers all Salesloft purchases, not call analysis alone (Vendr). See Salesloft pricing.
Which alternative for which reason
| Your reason for leaving Gong | Where to look |
|---|---|
| You mostly need notes and action items | Fireflies Pro ($10), Fathom Team ($15) or tl;dv Pro ($18) |
| You need coaching and scorecards | Fathom Business ($25), Avoma with Conversation Intelligence ($48) |
| You need forecasting too | Avoma with both add-ons ($77), HubSpot Professional ($90), Salesloft |
| You want no platform fee | Jiminny (a one-time setup fee instead), or a self-serve per-seat plan: Fireflies, Fathom, tl;dv, Sybill and Avoma list none |
| You want a European vendor | tl;dv (Germany) |
Prices are per seat a month billed annually; our judgement, from the vendors' pricing pages.
Gong alternatives in Europe
- Gong itself lets new customers store data in the US or the EU: "The default storage location is in the US." (security FAQ)
- Recording calls. You are usually the controller of your recordings, and the tool is your processor. Recording people in the EU needs a lawful basis, often legitimate interest under GDPR art. 6.1 f, and art. 13 requires telling them when the data is collected, for example at the start of the call. Ask each vendor for its data processing agreement and where it stores recordings. This is not legal advice.
If the gap is pipeline, not coaching: these tools analyse calls you already have. Leo by Revexa (ours) finds companies showing buying signals and drafts outreach that you approve by default, for $99 a month in the US or €89 in Europe (pricing), and it records no calls.
