AI GTM and go-to-market

Clay alternatives 2026: 7 tools for teams that want meetings, not builds

2026-09-08 · 8 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa

Clay is the best workshop in its category, but it needs a GTM engineer who builds and maintains the flows every week. Teams looking for Clay alternatives usually want one of two things: a simpler database with sending built in, or an AI agent that does the whole job. Here are seven alternatives with honest verdicts, prices from the vendors' own sites and a clear rule for when you should stay in Clay.

Honest disclosure first: Revexa builds Leo, so read with that in mind. Facts about Clay and the other tools come from their own pricing pages, or are marked as external figures where the site shows no price.

What Clay is good at

Clay describes itself as "infrastructure to get any data, run agentic workflows, and launch GTM plays". That holds up. If you can think a data flow, you can usually build it: enrichment from many sources, custom tables, AI columns, conditional steps and export to CRM and sequencing tools.

The pricing model per their site: a free tier with 500 actions and 100 data credits per month, Launch from $167 per month billed annually (about $185 monthly per external pricing guides) and Growth from $446 per month. Since March 2026 two kinds of credits are counted, actions for the platform and data credits for the marketplace.

The market has spoken: Clay raised at a $7 billion pre-money valuation in August 2026. Signal-driven prospecting is no longer a trend, it is the baseline. The deeper comparison lives in Clay vs AI SDR.

Why teams look for Clay alternatives

Nobody leaves Clay because it is bad. They leave because it assumes a company they are not.

  • It needs a builder. Clay says it themselves: "GTM engineers build on Clay". If you have no GTM engineer or RevOps person, you become one, in the evenings. What the role actually involves is covered in the GTM engineering guide.
  • Two credit meters. Actions and data credits are counted separately. Logical for someone building at volume, hard to predict for a small team running a couple of flows.
  • You do the work. Clay delivers data and flows. Picking companies, writing, sending, replying and booking stay with you.
  • The sending happens elsewhere. Clay pushes the result on to sequencing tools and the CRM. That means at least one more tool to connect, pay for and keep running.

The loss is quiet: $167 a month for a table nobody has time to open is not an investment, it is rent. The calendar decides, not the flow diagram.

7 Clay alternatives 2026

1. Leo (Revexa), AI GTM agent. Our own, so weigh it. Leo is not a toolbox but a ready colleague for your whole go-to-market: he reads your website, builds the ideal customer profile, watches buying signals like hiring, funding and system changes, reaches out in your voice on LinkedIn and email, handles the replies and books the meeting with a Lead Brief beforehand. Leo does the work, you approve, until you switch on autonomous mode per channel. €89 or $99 per month, 7 days free, no commitment. Wrong choice if you want to build custom data flows into the CRM. The full position is on /en/gtm.

2. Unify. "Outbound agents for every rep" per their site. Unify is closest to Clay in spirit, but with sequences, LinkedIn and a dialer (beta) built in, plus "Plays" triggered by intent signals. Prices per the pricing page: free tier up to 3 seats, Base $20 per seat per month, Pro $60 per seat per month with 2,400 credits, Business on quote. Check the credit economics against your volume before choosing. Suits sales teams with reps who want to run it themselves.

3. Apollo. Database plus sequences plus dialer in one, with a free tier. Basic $49 per user per month billed annually, Professional $79, Organization $119 with a three-user minimum. Apollo is the easiest switch if your problem with Clay is that you only want a list and an email sequence. You still build the lists and write the sequences yourself. More in Apollo alternatives.

4. Landbase. Positions itself as "GTM infrastructure for the agentic era" and claims to replace Clay, ZoomInfo and Apollo. Pay per verified data point: $0.033 per verified email, 1,000 free credits that never expire, Starter $499 per month. We could not verify sending from the platform, so count it as data and flows. Suits teams that want clean data without building a waterfall themselves.

5. Instantly plus Apollo. The classic DIY combo: data from Apollo's free tier or Basic, sending and warmup in Instantly Growth at $47 per month with 5,000 emails and 1,000 contacts. Cheapest on paper, but you own deliverability, list quality and all the copy. Email only, no LinkedIn. Smartlead from $39 per month fills the same role as Instantly.

6. Gojiberry. Y Combinator spring 2026, "AI Go-To-Market agents for B2B teams". Gojiberry finds people who engage on LinkedIn and reaches out on LinkedIn and email. Their site did not answer our fetch, so the price is from external reviews: Pro $99 per month with 2 agents and up to 1,800 prospects. Right choice if your ICP lives on LinkedIn and you want an agent rather than a workshop.

7. Amplemarket. "Human + AI", with the AI agent Duo and sequences across email, LinkedIn and phone. The Startup plan costs $600 per month on an annual term per their site, Growth and Elite on quote. A mature option for teams with several reps who want copilot support rather than a fully separate agent.

When you should stay in Clay

Stay if any of this is true:

  • You have a GTM engineer, RevOps or a Clay agency who runs the flows every week and enjoys it.
  • You need custom data flows beyond outbound, for example enrichment straight into the CRM or scoring models.
  • You run volumes where two credit meters actually come out cheaper than fixed plans.

Then nothing on this list beats Clay on flexibility. Many larger teams also run both: Clay for the data work, an agent like Leo for the actual outreach.

Start Leo for free

If you want meetings and not a build project, test in the right order: enter your website, connect LinkedIn, start Leo. Leo finds the first buy-ready companies and puts the drafts in front of you for approval. You evaluate on real replies, not on a feature list. Start Leo for free, 7 days, no commitment.

Common questions

What is the best Clay alternative for small teams?

An AI GTM agent, if you have nobody who builds. Leo finds the companies, reaches out and books without flows to maintain. If you still want to build yourself, Apollo is the simplest step down.

Is there a free Clay alternative?

Yes. Apollo, Unify and Landbase have free tiers per their sites, and Clay itself has a free tier with 500 actions per month. Leo is free for 7 days.

Does Leo replace Clay completely?

Only if the goal is booked meetings from outbound. If you want to build custom data flows into the CRM, Clay is the right category, and many teams run both.

What does Clay actually cost?

Per their site: a free tier, Launch $167 per month billed annually, Growth $446. The big line item is the GTM engineer's time, count it in.
