Gong pricing 2026: platform fee, seats and what teams pay

2026-10-20 · updated 2026-10-20 · 10 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa

Gong publishes no list prices. Its pricing page says licenses are priced per user, plus "a platform fee based on the number of users supported", and you buy a core license for the Gong Foundation platform before adding Gong Engage, Gong Forecast or other applications. Independent data puts the median Gong contract at $55,359 a year (Vendr, 1,145 purchases) and a typical seat at $1,200 to $2,400 a year (Vendr's estimate); none of these figures is a Gong list price. Under Gong's standard terms, contracts renew automatically for a year unless you give notice 60 days before the end, and fees are non-refundable unless you end the contract over a breach by Gong.

Checked on 20 October 2026 against Gong's pricing page (seen from a US server), help center, FAQ and terms, plus Vendr, AWS Marketplace and Reddit. Amounts are in US dollars, excluding tax. Revexa builds Leo, a buying-signal agent; it is not a conversation intelligence tool and is mentioned once below.

What teams report paying

These are estimates and individual, unverified reports, not Gong list prices.

How to read this: the AWS figure is a placeholder on a listing sold only through private offers, not a quote for a normal team (our reading). The Reddit figures fit Vendr's range for the 15-person team and sit above it for the small team: $18,000 for 15 reps is $1,200 a seat if all 15 have seats, while "$20k+" for 5 to 7 reps is roughly $2,900 to $4,000 a seat including any platform fee (our calculation). We could not read G2's Gong pricing page, which blocks automated visits, so it is not used here.

What Gong could cost: three team sizes

Our estimates, using Vendr's range of $1,200 to $2,400 per seat a year. They are not quotes.

TeamSeats onlyWhat to add
10 reps$12,000 to $24,000 a yearThe platform fee, which Gong doesn't publish; Vendr's typical minimum of 10 to 15 seats may apply
25 reps$30,000 to $60,000 a year20 to 40% per seat for each of Engage or Forecast, by Vendr's estimate
50 reps$60,000 to $120,000 a yearVendr's own estimate for 50 seats is $70,000 to $110,000 for one year

Vendr's median of $55,359 a year matches about 23 to 46 seats at $1,200 to $2,400 each (our calculation), so it describes mid-sized teams, not a startup's first contract. Multi-year terms lower the yearly price by 15 to 30% in Vendr's data (Vendr's estimate for 2- and 3-year contracts), and the AWS listing advertises "up to" 50% or 67% off for 24 or 36 months, but they lock in your seat count, which matters because of the renewal clause below.

Hidden costs and contract terms

From Gong's standard terms and conditions (last updated June 2026) and help center. An order form you negotiate can say otherwise.

  • Automatic renewal. Subscriptions "will automatically renew for additional one-year periods unless either party gives the other written notice (email acceptable) at least 60 days before the end of the relevant subscription term."
  • Fewer seats, new price. The terms say "any renewal in which subscription volume or subscription length for any Services has decreased from the prior term will result in re-pricing at renewal without regard to the prior term's per-unit pricing." Cutting seats can raise the price per seat.
  • Discounts end at renewal. Promotional or one-time prices renew "at Gong's applicable list price in effect at the time of the applicable renewal".
  • No refunds, with one exception. "Payment obligations are noncancelable and fees are non-refundable." The exception: if you end the contract because Gong breaches it and doesn't fix the breach within 30 days, Gong refunds prepaid fees for the rest of the term. Fees are due within 30 days of the order form's effective date unless the order form says otherwise, with a late charge of 1.0% a month.
  • AI usage on top. Gong credits cover AI Trackers, the MCP server and API workflows; "Gong does not automatically add credits or generate charges", but heavy use means buying more.
  • Seats added mid-term are charged pro rata to the end of the term.
  • Leaving. "Customer data is deleted within 30 days of contract termination or expiration", so export what you need first.

Cheaper alternatives

Ordered by starting price: the lowest monthly US dollar price for the cheapest paid plan that records and transcribes calls, any billing term, as shown to a US visitor. Tools without a public price follow in alphabetical order. Prices checked on 20 October 2026.

  • Fireflies. Pro costs $10 per seat a month billed annually or $18 monthly, with recording, transcripts and unlimited AI summaries; conversation intelligence and team analytics are on Business at $19 ($29 monthly), and there is a free plan (pricing). Right if a small team needs searchable call notes; wrong if you need forecasting or deal management, which its plans don't list.
  • Pipedrive Nova. Included in every Pipedrive plan, from $14 per seat a month billed annually ($24 monthly): pre-call briefs, call recording with summaries and transcripts, and CRM updates (Nova). Right if you are choosing a CRM anyway; wrong if your CRM is something else, since Nova is built into Pipedrive.
  • Avoma. Startup costs $19 per recorder seat a month billed annually ($29 monthly), viewers are free, and the Conversation Intelligence add-on (call scoring, coaching, trackers) and the Revenue Intelligence add-on (deal risks, forecasting) cost $29 each per seat billed annually (pricing). Right if you want coaching and forecasting at a published price: Startup with both add-ons is $77 a seat a month, $924 a year (our calculation), below Vendr's low end for Gong. Wrong if you need more than 25 paid seats on Startup or SSO, which is on Enterprise at $39 billed annually with at least 10 paid seats.
  • HubSpot Sales Hub. Call transcription and coaching start on Professional at $90 per seat a month billed annually ($100 monthly) plus a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee, with 750 hours of transcription per account a month; Professional also lists conversation intelligence, and tracked terms come with Enterprise at $150 (pricing, our breakdown). Right if your team already works in HubSpot; wrong if you only want call analysis, since you pay for a full sales suite.
  • Attention. No public price; attention.com has no pricing page. It describes itself as "AI agents that learn from your best sales conversations". Wrong if you need a price before a sales call.
  • Chorus by ZoomInfo. No public price: ZoomInfo's pricing page shows no amounts, and the Chorus page offers a demo request. Vendr's guide estimates $1,000 to $2,000 per seat a year with a typical minimum of 10 to 15 seats. Right if you already buy ZoomInfo data; wrong if you want a published price or a small contract.
  • Salesloft Conversation Intelligence (where Clari Copilot now leads). Clari is now part of Salesloft: clari.com redirects to salesloft.com, and the Clari Copilot page to Salesloft Conversation Intelligence; Salesloft still lists Clari Forecast by name. Salesloft's pricing page is titled "Talk to Sales" and lists no prices (Salesloft pricing). Right if you run Salesloft cadences; wrong if you want a public price.

If the real gap is pipeline, not call coaching. Gong and the tools above analyze conversations your team already has. Leo by Revexa (ours) is a buying-signal agent: it watches for signals such as hiring, funding and new executives in the buying role, drafts LinkedIn messages and emails in your voice that you approve by default, handles the replies and books meetings. It costs $99 a month in the US, €89 in Europe and 999 SEK in Sweden, excluding VAT, with 7 days free (pricing). Wrong choice if you need call recording, coaching or forecasting: Leo works on LinkedIn and email and is not a conversation intelligence tool.

  • Storage. "New Gong customers can decide to store their data in data centers in either the US or EU. The default storage location is in the US." Both run on AWS (security FAQ).
  • Processing. Gong "holds offices in the United States, Israel, and Ireland, where data may be processed", uses sub-processors in the US, the UK and EMEA, relies on standard contractual clauses in its DPA and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • Recording calls. You are the controller of the recordings, and Gong the processor. Recording people in the EU needs a lawful basis, often legitimate interest under GDPR art. 6.1 f, and art. 13 requires telling them at the time their data is collected. Gong offers a consent page and tools for erasure requests. This is not legal advice.

Common questions

How much does Gong cost?

Gong doesn't publish prices. Vendr's buyer data puts the median contract at $55,359 a year across 1,145 purchases, and Vendr estimates $1,200 to $2,400 per seat a year, plus a platform fee whose size Gong doesn't publish.

Does Gong charge a platform fee?

Yes. Gong's pricing page says "There is a platform fee based on the number of users supported" on top of per-user licenses. The amount isn't published; two unverified Reddit comments from 2020 mention $5,000 a year.

Can I buy Gong Engage or Gong Forecast on their own?

Gong's help center describes buying a core license for the Gong Foundation platform first and then adding applications such as Gong Engage and Gong Forecast. Vendr estimates each at 20 to 40% of the base cost per seat.

Is there a minimum Gong contract?

Gong doesn't publish one. Vendr's guide estimates that contracts typically start at 10 to 15 seats, and a single, unverified Reddit post from January 2026 describes a quote of over $20,000 a year for 5 to 7 reps.

Can I cancel Gong?

Under Gong's standard terms you stop the renewal rather than cancel mid-term: subscriptions renew automatically for a year unless you give written notice at least 60 days before the term ends, and fees are non-refundable unless you end the contract over a breach by Gong that isn't fixed within 30 days. A renewal with fewer seats is re-priced.
