Artisan alternatives 2026: 7 tools compared by price

2026-10-22 · updated 2026-10-22 · 8 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa

Artisan sells Ava, an AI BDR that finds leads, emails them, handles replies and books meetings, while your reps make calls through Artisan's dialer. Self-serve pricing starts at $250 a month billed annually or $280 monthly for 10K credits, about 500 leads contacted; Team, Scale and Enterprise are quoted, and Ava sends without review unless you switch approval on. The main options are Unify, Gojiberry, Leo by Revexa, Valley, AiSDR, Amplemarket and 11x.

Checked on 22 October 2026 against each vendor's own pages as a buyer in the United States sees them. Prices are in US dollars excluding tax, unless another market is named.

Revexa builds Leo, one of the alternatives below, so weigh what we say about it accordingly. The alternatives are ordered by starting price, lowest first: the lowest monthly US price listed for the cheapest paid plan, whatever the billing term. Free plans don't count and ties are alphabetical. AiSDR has no monthly fee, so it is placed by its lowest daily pace: 5 people a day at $1.50 is about $225 a month if it runs every day (our estimate).

What Artisan does well

  • A generous trial. 10K credits for 30 days without a card lets you run a real campaign before paying.
  • A low price per lead. Intern works out to about $0.50 per lead contacted billed annually and $0.56 monthly (our calculation from Artisan's own estimate of 500 leads).
  • Email plus human calling. Ava writes the emails and prepares "talking points for each lead before you call them", and your reps dial from the same sequence.
  • Reply handling. With "Autopilot replies" on, Ava answers, sends a link or books a meeting, and you can require up to five qualifying conditions first.
  • Writing controls. The FAQ lists "Approve before sending, lock tone and CTAs, set banned phrases, and coach Ava's writing".
  • Enterprise basics. SOC 2 Type II, SSO/SAML and audit logs, per the pricing page.

Why teams look for Artisan alternatives

No documented LinkedIn step. Artisan's menu promises "Email and social on autopilot, calls queued", and Artisan replied to a September review that Ava "runs multi-channel outreach, including phone calls". Its help center, though, names "two main outreach channels", email and phone (outreach channels), and its sequence docs list three step types: Email, Manual task and Human call. Two Trustpilot reviews from June and September 2026 complain that it does not do LinkedIn outreach; these are individual, unverified reviews. If LinkedIn matters, ask Artisan to show social sending in a demo.

Credits run faster than expected. Artisan's pricing FAQ says most campaigns "start at around 20 credits per prospect enrolled", and the page's calculator budgets 20 credits per lead for a cold email campaign and 30 when phone numbers and call steps are added. A Trustpilot review from 22 September 2026 says 40,000 credits reached "around 1,200 new prospects" instead of the "around 2,000" the reviewer was told. On annual plans, unused credits "do not roll over".

Costs outside the plan. "Sending infrastructure like mailboxes and phone numbers is billed separately in dollars", and the pricing page does not list those prices.

Sending without review by default. Approval exists, but you switch it on per campaign: "When left off, Ava sends messages on her own once a campaign is live."

Salesforce means a sales call. Intern lists "CRM sync (HubSpot)"; Salesforce sync appears on the quoted Team plan and above.

None of this makes Artisan a bad product. Its Trustpilot score was 4.1 from 42 reviews on 22 October 2026, and several reviews praise its customer success team. The full plan breakdown is in Artisan pricing 2026.

7 Artisan alternatives

1. Unify

A chat-first prospecting tool: from one prompt it builds lists from "1.1B+ people & 65M+ companies", enriches them and writes sequences. Base costs $20 per seat a month with 800 credits and Pro $60 with 2,400 credits, both billed monthly; Business is custom and billed annually (Unify pricing).

  • Strength: in AI-written sequences "You review the content and approve each person before their sequence begins" (Unify docs).
  • Weakness: the pricing table lists "Social messaging", but the documented step types are automatic email, manual email, phone call and action item, so LinkedIn is work for the rep (step types). Signal-triggered automations and read-write CRM sync need Business.
  • Best for: reps who want data, AI copy and sequences in one place and run outreach themselves.

2. Gojiberry

You enter your website, and Gojiberry "detects buying signals, scores your best prospects, and starts contacting them across email and socials, automatically" (Gojiberry). Pro costs $99 a month for 2 AI agents and "Up to 1,800 prospects contacted/month, more available".

  • Strength: a flat $99 for two agents, "Full auto or approve before it sends", and HubSpot, Pipedrive and Attio integrations.
  • Weakness: no calling listed, and the homepage leads with automatic sending without saying whether approval is on by default, so check that setting before you launch.
  • Best for: founders whose buyers are active on LinkedIn.

3. Leo by Revexa (ours)

Leo is a buying-signal agent. It builds your ideal customer profile from your website, watches signals such as hiring, funding, new executives in the buying role and engagement with competitors' LinkedIn posts, judges each company's business model, finds the right person and drafts LinkedIn and email messages in your voice. $99 a month in the US and rest of world, €89 in Europe and 999 SEK in Sweden, excluding VAT, for two LinkedIn profiles and one mailbox; 7 days free, no lock-in (Leo pricing).

  • Strength: review mode is the default. You approve or skip each draft in the portal, in iMessage or in Slack, in your own words, and autonomous mode is opt-in per channel.
  • Weakness: new and small, founded in 2026, with no published customer results. LinkedIn and email only, no calling, and no cold messages to leads in Germany under UWG §7.
  • Best for: small B2B teams that want LinkedIn as well as email and want to read every message first.

4. Valley

LinkedIn-first: you pick a play such as people engaging with your content, companies hiring or a competitor's audience, and Valley qualifies, researches and writes in your voice (Valley). Starter costs $199 per seat a month, or $149 billed quarterly, LinkedIn only; Plus adds 1,000 emails a month at $299 (Valley pricing).

  • Strength: LinkedIn is sent, not assigned as a task, and messages can go out in 39 languages (language docs).
  • Weakness: per-seat pricing, a trial that needs a payment method, and "Autopilot" that its help center calls "recommended for most users" (Valley help).
  • Best for: sellers whose buyers live on LinkedIn.

5. AiSDR

Pay as you go at $1.50 per person contacted, charged daily, with no monthly fee and campaigns "from as little as $3"; team plans for 1,000+ people a month run on quarterly or annual contracts (AiSDR pricing).

  • Strength: email plus LinkedIn connection requests, DMs, InMails and voice notes in one sequence, and AI call steps with Aircall.
  • Weakness: you approve samples, not each message: "No manual approval is needed for each outgoing message" (AiSDR help).
  • Best for: testing an AI SDR without a subscription.

6. Amplemarket

Data, multichannel sequences, AI intent signals and a dialer, with Duo Copilot to "scan your market daily for buying signals and surface the exact people to contact" (Duo). Startup costs $600 a month on an annual term with 2 users and 27,000 contacts; Growth and Elite are custom (Amplemarket pricing).

  • Strength: one platform for a whole team, with Duo surfacing leads for reps to act on.
  • Weakness: annual term only, and only the entry plan has a public price.
  • Best for: teams of several reps that want data, sequences and calling in one contract.

7. 11x

Alice is 11x's "digital worker" for outbound, with Julian for inbound. Growth starts at $3,750 a month billed annually for up to 5 users and 2,000 new prospects a month, with managed Gmail mailboxes and two-way CRM sync; the FAQ on the same page says "11x starts at $36,000 per year" (11x pricing).

  • Strength: managed sending infrastructure, and "Multi-language Outreach (105+)" on Pro.
  • Weakness: more than ten times Intern's price, and "Annual is the default". See 11x alternatives.
  • Best for: larger teams with a budget and an owner for the rollout.

Artisan wins on calling, contact data, trial length and maturity. Leo wins if you want LinkedIn in the sequence and approval as the default.

When to stay with Artisan

  • Your outreach is email plus phone, and your reps want call prep in the same tool.
  • You are comfortable with an agent that sends on its own, or you will switch approval on.
  • You want a large contact database and a customer success team in a shared Slack channel.
  • Your credit use matches Artisan's 20 to 30 credits per lead.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Artisan cost?

Intern costs $250 a month billed annually or $280 monthly for 10K credits, about 500 leads contacted; Employee costs $600 or $660 for 25K credits. Free includes 300 credits a month. Team, Scale and Enterprise are quoted, and mailboxes and phone numbers are billed separately.

Does Artisan do LinkedIn outreach?

Not as a documented step. Artisan's menu promises "Email and social on autopilot", but its help center names email and phone as the two main outreach channels, and its sequence docs list Email, Manual task and Human call. A rep can do LinkedIn as a manual task; if you need automated social sending, ask Artisan to show it in a demo.

Can I approve Ava's emails before they are sent?

Yes, but it is off by default. Turn on "Require approval before sending" per campaign, and messages wait under "Outbound to approve" on the Tasks page.

What is the cheapest Artisan alternative?

Unify Base costs $20 per seat a month, with a free plan for up to 3 seats. AiSDR has no monthly fee: $1.50 per person contacted, from $3 a campaign. Gojiberry and Leo cost $99 a month.

Which Artisan alternatives let me approve every message?

Unify for each person in its AI-written sequences, and Leo by default. Valley queues every message when "Autopilot" is off, and Gojiberry offers approval as an option. AiSDR approves samples, not each message.
