Best LinkedIn automation tools 2026: 15 by safety and price
2026-10-15 · updated 2026-10-15 · 11 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa
No LinkedIn automation tool can promise your account won't be restricted: section 8.2 of LinkedIn's User Agreement bans "bots or other unauthorized automated methods" to add contacts or send messages, and LinkedIn says members who use such tools "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down" (User Agreement, LinkedIn Help). What lowers the risk is how a tool runs: one real account, low daily caps after a slow warm-up, a fixed IP in your region, human pacing and no scraping. On price, Linked Helper is cheapest at $15 a month billed monthly, or $8.25 on a 12-month license (a desktop app, LinkedIn only), and LinkedIn plus email in one tool starts at $59 a month billed monthly with SalesRobot, $70 with La Growth Machine and $79 with Dripify.
Checked on 15 October 2026 against each vendor's own pages.
Revexa builds Leo, one of the tools below. Leo automates LinkedIn too, so the same risk applies to it. Tools are ordered by starting price: the lowest monthly price listed for the cheapest paid plan that automates LinkedIn, whatever the billing term, in US dollars where the vendor lists them. Euro-only prices are placed at the Riksbank rates for 15 October 2026 (€1 = $1.12), and ties are alphabetical. This is not legal advice.
Can any LinkedIn automation tool keep your account safe?
No. In section 8.2 of the User Agreement, in force since 3 November 2025, members agree not to use bots to "add or download contacts, send or redirect messages", not to use software, including "browser plugins and add-ons", to scrape profiles, and not to "bypass or circumvent any access controls or use limits". Under section 3.4, LinkedIn may "restrict, suspend, or terminate your account if you breach this Contract".
Vendors agree. HeyReach writes "There is no approved outreach automation tool", adding "ours included" (HeyReach, 7 August 2026), and Gojiberry's help center says "no tool can guarantee 100% safety" (Gojiberry). LinkedIn names the triggers: many invitations "within a short amount of time", invitations "ignored, left pending, or marked as spam", and suspected "use of an automation tool" (LinkedIn Help). Full citations and recovery steps: LinkedIn outreach without getting restricted.
What actually lowers the risk
We found no independent study of restriction rates by tool or tool type, so every safety claim below is the vendor's own. The levers vendors document:
- Where the tool runs. Extensions work inside your LinkedIn session, and LinkedIn says it does "look for extensions that scrape data without members' consent"; in April 2026 BleepingComputer's own test found LinkedIn's site checking for 6,236 extensions (BleepingComputer). Cloud tools run your session on the vendor's servers behind a fixed IP or proxy, signed in with your password or session cookie. Desktop apps such as Linked Helper run on your own computer, from your own IP or a proxy. LinkedIn's rules cover all three.
- Low daily caps. LinkedIn publishes no number. HeyReach caps each sender at 200 connection requests a week and defaults to 25 a day (HeyReach help), lemlist recommends "up to 20 invites/day" (lemlist help), Waalaxy allows 11 a day on Pro, and Dripify up to 75 a day.
- A slow warm-up. Skylead puts new accounts "in warm-up mode by default", Expandi has "Profile Auto Warm-up", and Waalaxy suggests 30 actions a day per type for quiet accounts.
- A consistent IP. Dripify gives "a consistent IP address tied to your account, in your location", Gojiberry a proxy "in the same region you log in from" and HeyReach a "dedicated static residential proxy".
- Human pacing. Randomized timing, which Dripify, Gojiberry, Linked Helper and Salesflow describe, and sending only in working hours.
- Relevance. Ignored invitations count against you, so invite people you have a reason to talk to, such as those engaging with a competitor's posts.
Be wary of anything sold as a way around LinkedIn's limits. On 15 October 2026 Expandi's pricing page listed "Campaign Types that Allow Bypassing Outreach Limits", Linked Helper's said it "Passes major bot detectors", and La Growth Machine said its 5G proxies make it "impossible for LinkedIn to detect automation" (Expandi, Linked Helper, La Growth Machine). We found no way to verify a claim like the last one.

The cheapest way to automate LinkedIn and email outreach
| Budget | Setup | What you get | What's missing |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0 | LinkedIn by hand plus Apollo's free plan | A personal note on five invitations a month; 75 Apollo credits a month, 2 sequences, 1 mailbox | No LinkedIn automation; email goes from your main domain |
| About $63 | Linked Helper ($15) plus Smartlead Base ($39), a Microsoft 365 Business Basic mailbox ($8.40) and a .com domain ($11.08 a year) | LinkedIn automation from your own computer; email with warm-up from a separate domain | Two tools and two inboxes; your computer must stay on |
| Under $100 | SalesRobot Basic ($59), La Growth Machine Basic ($70) or Dripify Pro ($79), plus a mailbox and a domain | One sequence and one inbox for both channels | Data beyond the included credits; SalesRobot Basic runs one campaign |
Billed annually, the one-tool option starts at $39 a month (SalesRobot), then $49 (Meet Alfred Business, plan table), $59 (Dripify), $60 (La Growth Machine), €69 (Waalaxy Business) and $79 (Expandi).
Costs that are easy to miss:
- Mailboxes and a domain. Cold email from your main domain puts its reputation at stake, so send from a separate one (domain reputation guide). Microsoft 365 Business Basic is $7.00 per user a month on an annual plan.
- Data. Email-finding credits run out: Dripify includes 100 a month, Waalaxy Pro 25, PhantomBuster Start 500 and La Growth Machine Basic 250 enriched leads.
- LinkedIn Premium. Free members can add a personal note to five invitations a month; Premium members to all (LinkedIn Help).
- Your time. Two hours a week on lists and replies is about nine hours a month.

If you prospect in Europe
- Say where you got the data. GDPR requires telling people "from which sources the personal data originates", at the latest "when the company/organisation is first communicating with that individual" (European Commission).
- Scraping has been fined. France's CNIL fined Kaspr €240,000 in December 2024, "in particular because it collected contact details of users on LinkedIn, even if they previously masked them" (CNIL).
- Germany requires consent for cold email. Under UWG §7(2) no. 2, email advertising without the recipient's prior express consent is always an unreasonable nuisance (UWG §7).
- Where vendors are based. Waalaxy, La Growth Machine, lemlist and Gojiberry are French companies and Revexa is Swedish; Skylead is a UK company and SalesRobot a Delaware corporation. HeyReach's DPA says its "primary processing facilities are in the United States of America", and Linked Helper's cloud storage is also in the United States. A European seat does not make a tool compliant by itself.
Where Leo fits
Leo by Revexa is a buying-signal agent: it watches signals such as hiring, funding, new executives and engagement with competitors' LinkedIn posts, then drafts LinkedIn messages and email in your voice from your own profile and mailbox. By default you approve every draft, in the portal, iMessage or Slack, and it pauses when LinkedIn shows a warning. It still automates your LinkedIn account, so the risk above applies. Wrong choice if you want no automation on LinkedIn, a database to export lists from, or calls, SMS or WhatsApp (pricing).
Common questions
Which LinkedIn automation tool won't get my account banned?
None can promise that, because LinkedIn's User Agreement bans automated invitations and messages. The lowest-risk setup does LinkedIn by hand, with Sales Navigator from US$119.99 a month if you need its search, and automates only email. If you automate LinkedIn, use one real account, low caps after a warm-up and a fixed IP, and skip tools sold as a way around LinkedIn's limits.
What is the cheapest way to automate LinkedIn and email outreach?
Free: LinkedIn by hand plus Apollo's free plan. About $63 a month: Linked Helper for LinkedIn and Smartlead for email, plus a mailbox and a domain. In one tool, SalesRobot starts at $59 a month billed monthly or $39 billed annually.
Is there a free LinkedIn automation tool?
Not among these 15: none lists a free plan that automates LinkedIn, and in Waalaxy's Freemium mode you "cannot launch campaigns". Linked Helper, PhantomBuster, HeyReach, SalesRobot, lemlist and La Growth Machine give 14 days free without a card.
Are cloud LinkedIn tools safer than browser extensions?
Vendors say so, but LinkedIn's rules ban both, and we found no independent study comparing restriction rates. LinkedIn looks for extensions that scrape, while cloud tools such as HeyReach and Waalaxy sign in with your session cookie or password from a fixed IP or proxy.
