HeyReach vs Expandi vs Waalaxy 2026: LinkedIn tools compared
2026-10-15 · 8 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa
Pick HeyReach if you run many LinkedIn sender accounts, as an agency or a multi-rep team, and want flat pricing per bundle of senders, sender rotation and one shared inbox, with email sent through a separate tool. Pick Expandi for one cloud seat per rep with LinkedIn and email in one sequence and native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive sync, and Waalaxy if you are a founder or small team that wants the lowest entry price and the simplest setup. LinkedIn has not authorized any of the three and its User Agreement bans automation, so every option carries a risk of account restriction.

Revexa builds Leo, an AI agent in the same market, so read with that in mind. This comparison is about the tools in the title.
What each tool is
None of the three includes a contact database: leads come from LinkedIn searches and imports.
HeyReach runs LinkedIn outreach from many sender accounts in the cloud, with email sent through Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison (HeyReach integrations). Growth costs $79 per sender a month, or $63 billed annually. Agency is $999 a month for 25 senders or $1,399 for 50, and Unlimited is $2,999 for up to 300 (HeyReach pricing).
Expandi is priced per LinkedIn account and mixes LinkedIn invites, messages, InMail and event invites with email from your own mailbox in one sequence. It costs $99 per account a month, or $79 billed annually, with custom agency pricing from 10+ seats (Expandi pricing).
Waalaxy is a French tool whose users are often new to LinkedIn outreach: it says "75% of our users had never done LinkedIn outreach before". Its pricing page shows Pro at €19, Advanced at €49 and Business, the only plan with email, at €69 per user a month next to a "Yearly (-50%)" toggle. The help center lists Business at €139 billed monthly (Waalaxy pricing, Waalaxy help).

Where HeyReach is better
- Cost per account at scale. Agency works out at about $40 per sender for 25 or $28 for 50, and people are free: "HeyReach charges only per LinkedIn senders, not per users" (HeyReach pricing).
- Rotation and one inbox. One campaign can use many senders, HeyReach rotates between them, and all replies land in one Unibox (HeyReach help).
- Built to be driven by other tools. An API, webhooks, an MCP server and a CLI (since 16 June 2026) let other systems and AI agents run campaigns (HeyReach CLI blog).
- Residential proxy included. Growth includes "a dedicated residential proxy" per sender, while Expandi's per-account IP "is provided by a data center" (HeyReach pricing, Expandi help).
Where Expandi is better
- Email in the base plan. LinkedIn steps and email follow-ups share one sequence, sent from your own mailbox. HeyReach needs another email tool, and Waalaxy limits email to Business (Expandi help).
- Deeper sequences. The builder has 19 actions and 11 conditions, and campaigns can start on post engagement, profile views or job changes (Expandi blog, 22 May 2026).
- Native Salesforce sync. HubSpot, Salesforce (with sentiment-based auto-sync) and Pipedrive are native. HeyReach lists HubSpot natively but not Salesforce or Pipedrive (Expandi integrations, HeyReach integrations).
- Approval before AI actions. With Expandi MCP, "Nothing leaves your account until you approve it" (Expandi blog, 30 September 2026).
Where Waalaxy is better
- Lowest entry price. Pro is €19 per user a month, and Business, with LinkedIn plus email, is €69, both as shown with the yearly toggle (Waalaxy pricing).
- A monthly email-finder allowance. Plans include 25 or 500 Email Finder credits a month. HeyReach's credits are a one-time allocation, and Expandi documents no email finder (Waalaxy pricing, HeyReach pricing).
- Review reputation. Trustpilot shows 4.8 from 1,303 reviews, against 4.4 from 236 for Expandi and 4.0 from 51 for HeyReach (Waalaxy, Expandi, HeyReach).
- Conservative defaults. Pro is capped at 11 invites a day, and daily quotas are randomized between 80% and 100% of the maximum (Waalaxy quotas).
Limitations and criticisms
All three: LinkedIn's rules. Section 8.2 of LinkedIn's User Agreement, in force since 3 November 2025, bars members from using "bots or other unauthorized automated methods" and from trying to "bypass or circumvent any access controls or use limits" (User Agreement). LinkedIn says users of third-party automation "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down" (LinkedIn Help). HeyReach and Expandi disclaim liability for bans, and Waalaxy's terms say users must know each site's operating rules (HeyReach terms, Expandi terms, Waalaxy terms).
HeyReach
- LinkedIn acted against the company. On 25 March 2026 LinkedIn removed HeyReach's company page and restricted the profiles of its CEO, CTO, CRO and CMO. HeyReach says no reason was given and customer campaigns kept running (HeyReach blog, 7 August 2026).
- Support and refunds. 22% of its Trustpilot reviews are one-star, citing slow support, dashboard data mismatches and the no-refund policy (Trustpilot).
- Trade-offs. Agency and Unlimited need your own proxies. The DPA says HeyReach holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 and processes EU data in the US (HeyReach pricing, HeyReach DPA).
Expandi
- Limit-bypass marketing. The pricing page advertises "Campaign Types that Allow Bypassing Outreach Limits", which sits uneasily with LinkedIn's ban on circumventing use limits (Expandi pricing).
- Support and terms. 18% of its Trustpilot reviews are one-star, with recent ones citing poor support, and fees are "nonrefundable" (Trustpilot, Expandi terms).
Waalaxy
- Billing complaints. Its small negative share on Trustpilot (3% one-star) cites trial charges, slow refunds and hard cancellation (Trustpilot).
- Plan limits. Pro allows only 300 invites a month, the LinkedIn Inbox is a €20 a month add-on, and the pricing page does not say which billing period its prices belong to (Waalaxy pricing).
What changed in 2025 and 2026
- About 6 March 2025: LinkedIn removed the company pages of Apollo.io and Seamless.AI without a public reason (MarTech).
- 19 December 2025: LinkedIn restricted AI agent startup Artisan's company page and staff accounts, reinstating them about two weeks later (TechCrunch).
- 25 March 2026: LinkedIn removed HeyReach's company page and restricted four executives' profiles.
- Q2 2026: Waalaxy cut its pricing page to three tiers, removing the Freemium card (PricingSaaS).
- 30 September 2026: Expandi MCP went live on every account, still labeled beta.
- 22 October 2026: Trigify, a HeyReach signal integration, ends as a standalone product as its team joins HubSpot (Trigify). See Trigify alternatives.
No funding rounds or acquisitions were found for any of the three in 2025 or 2026.
Which one should you choose?
- An agency or team with ten or more senders: HeyReach, the only one of the three with public flat prices for many accounts.
- A sales team where each rep runs one account plus email, on Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive: Expandi.
- A founder or first-timer on a small budget: Waalaxy, Pro for LinkedIn only or Business if you also need email.
- Whichever you pick: keep daily limits low, because the terms leave the account risk with you. For targeting by intent, see LinkedIn engagement as a buying signal.
Another option
If you want the outreach done for you on buying signals with approval before anything is sent, agents such as Leo by Revexa ($99/month in the US, €89 in Europe, 999 SEK in Sweden, 7 days free) take a different approach. Plans are on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Will LinkedIn restrict my account if I use these tools?
It can. LinkedIn says users of such tools "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down". Daily caps, warm-up and dedicated IPs or proxies reduce the risk, but all three vendors disclaim liability for bans.
What is the cheapest way to automate LinkedIn plus email?
For one person, Waalaxy Business at €69 a month as shown with the yearly toggle (€139 billed monthly), or Expandi at $79 to $99 with email from your own mailbox. HeyReach costs $63 to $79 per sender plus a separate email tool.
Which tool fits an agency with many LinkedIn accounts?
On public pricing, HeyReach: it is the only one with flat agency prices ($999 for 25 senders, $1,399 for 50, $2,999 for up to 300). Expandi and Waalaxy price larger teams on request.
Did LinkedIn shut down HeyReach?
No. On 25 March 2026 LinkedIn removed HeyReach's company page and restricted its executives' profiles without a public reason. HeyReach says customers' campaigns kept running.
