Drift alternatives 2026: 9 tools compared by price

Drift is being phased out: Salesloft, which bought Drift in 2024, announced "the gradual sunset" of it on 5 March 2026 (as Clari + Salesloft), refers existing Drift customers to 1mind and publishes no price. Alternatives with list prices start at $24.17 a month billed annually for Tidio, $29 per seat for Intercom plus $0.99 per Fin outcome, $45 for Crisp, $79 for Leadfeeder and RB2B, $90 per seat for HubSpot's AI customer agent and $20,000 a year for Warmly's inbound chat; 1mind and Qualified are quoted by sales.
Checked on 23 October 2026 against Salesloft's newsroom, pricing page and trust center, drift.com, and each vendor's pricing page as a US buyer sees it. US dollars excluding tax; the European price is shown where it differs.
Revexa builds Leo, a buying-signal agent for outbound that is not a chat tool and does not identify website visitors, so it is not in this list. Order: the lowest monthly US price for the cheapest paid plan that includes the feature in the "Covers" column, whatever the billing term. Free plans and new-customer discounts don't count, ties are alphabetical, and tools without a published price come last.
What happened to Drift
| Date | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| February 2024 | Salesloft acquires Drift | Salesloft newsroom |
| March to September 2025 | An intrusion: the threat actor "obtained OAuth tokens for Drift customers' technology integrations". Drift was taken offline from 5 September 2025 and back online on 16 September | Salesloft trust center |
| 3 December 2025 | Clari and Salesloft complete their merger | Salesloft newsroom |
| 5 March 2026 | Clari + Salesloft announces "the gradual sunset of its Drift conversational marketing solution"; under "an exclusive agreement", existing Drift clients are referred to 1mind "as the successor" | Salesloft newsroom |
| 30 May 2026 | 1mind becomes a subprocessor for the Salesloft and Clari services "(including Drift)" | Salesloft trust center |
| 2 September 2026 | The merged company operates under one brand, Salesloft | Salesloft newsroom |
| 23 October 2026 | drift.com opens a Salesloft page titled "AI Chat Agent for B2B Sales" that says "We've transitioned from Drift to 1mind"; the login menu still has "Log in to Drift" | drift.com |
Salesloft's pricing page is a "Talk to sales" form, and its product list names no chat product. We found no end date for Drift on Salesloft's site or trust center. Our reading: existing customers can keep using Drift for now, and your renewal date is the practical deadline; ask your account team to confirm it in writing.

"Best for" and "Wrong choice if" are our judgement; the other cells are vendor statements, not independent tests.
The alternatives one by one
1. Tidio
Live chat, a help desk and Lyro, an AI agent, priced by "Billable conversations". Starter "is priced at $24.17 per month when billed annually" (Tidio FAQ), and annual billing gives "2 months free", so monthly billing works out to about $29 (our calculation).
- Strength: a free plan and a low entry price, and Tidio says "All our data is stored on servers located in member countries of the European Economic Area".
- Weakness: Starter includes "50 Lyro AI Agent conversations (one-off)"; more cost from $32.50 a month for 50, according to the price list in Tidio's llms.txt file, not the pricing page; that list gives Starter at its annual rate, $24.17.
- Best for: small businesses wanting chat first, AI second.
2. Intercom
The Intercom help desk with Fin, an AI agent billed at "$0.99 per outcome", such as a resolved conversation. Essential costs $29 per seat a month billed annually, shown at $19 because "New customers save 35%"; Advanced costs $85 and Expert $132, also billed annually (pricing). Fin, the company formerly called Intercom, announced an agreement to be acquired by Salesforce on 15 June 2026 (Fin), and on 10 September 2026 Salesforce said it "has completed its acquisition of Fin, formerly Intercom" (Salesforce). The help desk is still sold under the Intercom name.
- Strength: EU hosting on AWS in Dublin, but "only available to new workspaces on the Advanced and Expert plans" (help center).
- Weakness: the bill moves with volume, since every Fin outcome costs $0.99 on top of seats.
- Best for: teams where support and sales work in the same inbox.
3. Crisp
A chat and inbox tool priced at "a flat rate per workspace". Mini costs $45 a month with 4 seats and $5 of AI credits, "Around 90 automated conversations"; Essentials costs $95 with 10 seats and adds an "Omnichannel AI Chatbot", and Plus costs $295 with 20 or more (pricing).
- Strength: "All Crisp data is held on servers hosted in the European Union", in the Netherlands and Germany; relay servers in the US, UK and Singapore keep only connection logs (Crisp help).
- Weakness: no annual price is listed, and AI volume is tied to each plan's credits.
- Best for: small teams that want one predictable price.
4. Leadfeeder
Identifies the companies that visit your website, with no chat. Discover costs $79 a month billed annually or $113 monthly in the US, and the same numbers in euros in Europe; Lite is free (pricing, our breakdown).
- Strength: "Our servers and data are hosted and processed on Amazon Web Services in the EU, specifically in Ireland" (GDPR page).
- Weakness: company level only; contact data starts on Activate at $369 a month billed annually.
- Best for: teams that mainly used chat to learn which companies visit.
5. RB2B
Names people visiting your site, but only in the US: "Company-Level ID is global on every plan. Contact-level (person) ID is US only." Starter costs $79 a month for 300 resolutions; the free plan gives 150 company-level resolutions (pricing, our breakdown).
- Strength: a 7-day full trial with no card, and LinkedIn profiles of US visitors sent to Slack or Teams.
- Weakness: no chat, and overage costs 45 cents per resolution on Starter.
- Best for: US teams that want to know who visited, then reach out themselves.
6. HubSpot
HubSpot's chatbot builder and live chat are free for up to 2 users. The AI Customer Agent, which answers "across every channel" and hands over to your team, comes with Service Hub Professional: $90 per seat a month billed annually or $100 paid monthly on an annual commitment, plus "the required, one-time Professional Onboarding for a fee of $1,500" (pricing).
- Strength: chats land in the CRM you may already use, and buying a Professional seat gives "14-day unlimited free access to Customer Agent".
- Weakness: the AI agent needs Professional seats and onboarding.
- Best for: teams on HubSpot CRM.
7. Warmly
Identifies visitors and chats with them. Inbound Chat starts at $20,000 a year or $6,500 a quarter and adds an AI chatbot, live chat and email follow-up to identification (pricing). On 30 June 2026 Warmly said it "has entered into an agreement to be acquired by HubSpot" and that existing contracts and pricing "remain unchanged" (Warmly).
- Strength: named visitors and chat in one tool.
- Weakness: the price, and "no personal-level anonymization in Europe" (help center). See Warmly alternatives.
- Best for: US inbound teams with a five-figure budget.
8. 1mind
Salesloft's named successor. 1mind "gives B2B revenue teams photorealistic AI Superhumans for engaging, qualifying, and converting buyers" and works "across your website, in-product experiences, and live sales calls" (1mind). Salesloft says buyer intelligence from 1mind "flows into Salesloft Cadences".
- Strength: the path Salesloft itself supports.
- Weakness: no published price; 1mind.com/pricing returned "Page Not Found" on 23 October 2026.
- Best for: Drift customers who stay on Salesloft.
9. Qualified
Sells Piper, an "AI SDR Agent" for inbound that handles "Agentic website conversations" and books meetings. Plans are sized by monthly web sessions, from 250K on Premier, and all say "Contact us" (pricing). Salesforce announced a definitive agreement to buy Qualified on 17 December 2025 and "completed its acquisition of Qualified" on 1 April 2026, as both Salesforce and Qualified's own newsroom state (Salesforce, Qualified).
- Strength: built to "scale inbound pipeline generation" rather than support, with Salesforce CRM integration on every plan.
- Weakness: no list price and no self-serve plan.
- Best for: Salesforce customers with high-traffic websites.
When to stay with Drift
- Your contract still runs and Drift works. Drift came back online after the 2025 incident, and Mandiant "has not identified ongoing compromise of the Drift product" (trust center). Move before your renewal date, not in a rush.
- You live in Salesloft. If your reps work in Cadence and Rhythm, 1mind is the route Salesloft built for chat signals. Leaving Salesloft entirely is a bigger decision: see Salesloft alternatives.
- Your playbooks are tuned. Routing, qualification and meeting links must be rebuilt in any new tool, so pilot on part of your site first.
If the real goal behind Drift was more conversations with companies that are ready to buy, and not a chat on your site, Leo by Revexa (ours) watches signals such as hiring, funding and new executives in the buying role and drafts LinkedIn messages and emails that, by default, you approve before they go out.

Frequently asked questions
Is Drift shutting down?
Drift is in a gradual sunset. Salesloft announced it on 5 March 2026, refers existing Drift customers to 1mind as the successor, and drift.com now opens a Salesloft page that says "We've transitioned from Drift to 1mind". We found no published end date; existing customers can still log in.
What replaced Drift?
1mind is the successor Salesloft names, under an exclusive agreement. You are free to choose another tool: HubSpot, Intercom and Qualified are the closest sales chat options, and Leadfeeder, RB2B and Warmly cover visitor identification.
What is the cheapest Drift alternative?
HubSpot, Tidio and Crisp have free plans with live chat. Among paid plans, Tidio Starter costs $24.17 a month billed annually, Intercom Essential $29 per seat billed annually plus $0.99 per Fin outcome, and Crisp Mini $45 a month per workspace.
Who owns Drift, Qualified and Intercom now?
Salesloft owns Drift; it merged with Clari and uses one brand, Salesloft, since 2 September 2026. Salesforce owns Qualified (announced 17 December 2025, completed 1 April 2026) and Fin, formerly Intercom (agreed 15 June 2026, completed 10 September 2026); the help desk still carries the Intercom name. Warmly said on 30 June 2026 that it has agreed to be acquired by HubSpot.
Which Drift alternative works for visitor identification in Europe?
Company-level tools such as Leadfeeder, which hosts its data on AWS in Ireland. RB2B names people only on US traffic, and Warmly says it does no person-level identification in Europe. In the EU the tracking script usually needs consent before it runs; see our GDPR guide. This is not legal advice.
