UpLead pricing 2026: plans, cost per credit and real cost

2026-10-20 · updated 2026-10-20 · 7 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa

UpLead Essentials costs $99 a month for 170 credits, or $74 a month billed annually ($888 a year) for 2,040 credits; Plus costs $199 a month for 400 credits, or $149 billed annually for 4,800. One credit unlocks one contact's email and mobile direct dial, so a contact costs 37 to 58 cents at list price (our estimate), and extra credits cost $0.60 on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus. The traps: unused credits expire, annual plans must be cancelled 60 days before renewal, and the terms make you destroy UpLead data within 7 days after they end.

Checked on 20 October 2026 against UpLead's pricing page, help center and license terms. Prices are in US dollars and were the same from the US and from Sweden. Revexa builds Leo, one of the alternatives below.

What UpLead really costs: three examples

Our estimates, at list price before tax.

One seller, 170 contacts a month. Essentials costs $1,188 a year month to month, 58 cents a contact, or $888 billed annually, 44 cents.

A heavier user, 400 contacts a month. Essentials plus 230 extra credits at $0.60 comes to $237 a month. Plus costs $199 (50 cents a contact), or $1,788 a year billed annually (37 cents).

A team of three. Free, Essentials and Plus "are Single User accounts"; Professional is the team plan, quoted by sales and billed annually. Three separate Essentials accounts would cost $2,664 a year billed annually, without shared credits or team management.

Hidden costs and terms

  • The trial becomes an annual plan. The trial needs a card, and "If you don’t cancel by Day 7, your account will automatically be billed $890 annually for the Essentials Plan" (sign-up guide, February 2025).
  • Credits expire. Unused credits do not carry into the next term: "credits are use it or lose it" (license terms, updated 29 April 2025). A "Hibernation Plan for $2 per month" keeps them while paused.
  • 60 days' notice on annual plans. Plans renew automatically "unless Customer cancels Customer’s Subscription Plan at least sixty (60) days in advance of the renewal date"; the help center applies this to annual plans and lets monthly plans be cancelled "at any time" (contract).
  • Price rises at renewal. UpLead can raise fees before a renewal with notice "at least ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the current term", and "All payments of Subscription Services Fees made are non-refundable".
  • Downgrades wait, upgrades don't. A downgrade starts at the next renewal "and no pro-rated refund of any prepaid Fees will be issued"; an upgrade is "charged in full" at once.
  • The data is licensed, not bought. The license terms last as long as UpLead provides the product; when they end, you must "within seven (7) days of the date of expiration or earlier termination, destroy all Data" on your systems and confirm it in writing. The data "is seeded to detect any unauthorized use".
  • Closing the account. Closing it means "Immediate Loss of Access" to unused credits, saved searches and downloaded lists.
  • Extra credits. $0.60 each on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus, with "a $2000 daily cap on credit purchases".

Third-party price data

  • Vendr. Vendr lists UpLead's Essentials, Plus, Professional and Enterprise products but showed no price data on 16 October 2026.
  • Trustpilot. On 16 October 2026 Trustpilot showed 4.2 from 90 reviews, 60 five-star and 19 one-star. Of the 20 newest, from 29 December 2025 to 9 October 2026, 16 gave four or five stars; three of the four low ratings mention cancelling or being charged.

Cheaper alternatives

Ordered by starting price: the lowest monthly US dollar price for the cheapest paid plan as shown to a US visitor, whatever the billing term. Free plans don't count; ties are alphabetical. Prices checked on 20 October 2026.

  • Unify. $20 per seat a month, billed monthly, with 800 credits per seat; phone enrichment "averages 4 credits per record (in rare cases up to 20)" (pricing). Right if one rep wants emails and phone numbers for a fifth of Essentials; wrong if you need a fixed price per contact, since credit costs vary by data provider.
  • RocketReach. Essentials costs $33 a month billed annually in the US ($399 a year) or $69 monthly ($19 or $39 as shown in Sweden), with unlimited lookups on annual plans and 1,200 exports a year (pricing). Right if you mainly need emails; wrong if you need mobile numbers, since Pro costs $75 a month billed annually in the US ($52 in Sweden), about what UpLead costs.
  • Hunter. Starter costs $34 a month billed yearly or $49 monthly in the US (€34 or €49 in the EU), with 2,000 credits a month and unlimited users (pricing). Right if you need emails at volume; wrong if you need mobile numbers, which its plans don't list.
  • Lusha. Starter costs $37.45 a month billed yearly or $49.90 monthly for 400 credits; an email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5 (pricing, our breakdown). Right if you need emails plus up to 80 numbers a month for half of Essentials; wrong if you need more numbers than that.
  • Apollo. Basic costs $49 per seat a month billed annually or $65 monthly, with 2,500 credits per seat a month; a phone number costs 8 credits (pricing). Right if you want about 300 numbers a month plus sequences and a dialer; wrong if you send at volume, since Basic sends 250 emails a day from one mailbox per user.
  • Leo by Revexa (ours). $99 a month in the US, €89 in Europe and 999 SEK in Sweden, excluding VAT, with 7 days free and no lock-in (pricing). Right if you want meetings with companies showing buying signals, through LinkedIn messages and emails you approve; wrong if you need mobile numbers or contact lists to download.

UpLead in Europe: GDPR and where the data is

  • Location. "We are located in the United States, and the personal information that we collect is stored on servers located in the United States" (privacy policy, no update date shown). Transfers can rest on standard contractual clauses, which customers outside the EEA, the UK and adequate countries must enter into if they keep copies.
  • Legal basis. UpLead calls its processing of business profile data "within our legitimate interests", and treats customers as "independent controllers" of the data they receive. Its EU representative is EDPO in Brussels.
  • Sources and coverage. UpLead combines "millions of public documents" with data licensed "from trusted third parties" and publishes only worldwide totals: "+200M" contacts with email addresses and "+19M" company profiles (our data).
  • Your own outreach. Emailing EU prospects needs your own lawful basis, usually legitimate interest under GDPR art. 6.1 f, and Germany's UWG §7 requires prior consent for advertising email. See our GDPR guide. This is not legal advice.

Common questions

How much does UpLead cost per credit?

At list price, 58 cents a credit on monthly Essentials ($99 for 170), 44 cents billed annually, 50 cents on monthly Plus and 37 cents on annual Plus (our calculation). Extra credits cost $0.60 on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus.

Does UpLead have a free trial?

Yes, 7 days with 5 credits. UpLead's help center says the trial needs a card and turns into the annual Essentials plan unless you cancel or switch plans before day 7.

Do UpLead credits roll over?

No. The license terms say unused credits don't carry into the next term: "credits are use it or lose it". Pausing on the $2-a-month Hibernation Plan keeps them.

How do I cancel UpLead?

Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time in your account and run to the end of the month. For annual plans, UpLead asks for cancellation at least 60 days before the renewal date, and fees are non-refundable.
