Lusha vs ZoomInfo 2026: which is better for a small team?

2026-10-16 · updated 2026-10-16 · 8 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa

For a small team, Lusha is the practical choice: it has a free plan with 40 credits a month, publishes its prices and bills monthly, from $49.90 a month or $37.45 billed yearly for one seat and 400 credits, enough for 400 emails or 80 phone numbers. ZoomInfo publishes no prices, bills paid plans annually with a seat minimum, and its terms say "The Agreement is not cancellable"; Vendr's median ZoomInfo buyer pays $33,500 a year, against $15,999 for Lusha. ZoomInfo fits larger teams that call heavily into North America and want intent data.

Checked on 16 October 2026 against each vendor's own pages. Prices are US dollar list prices excluding tax.

Revexa builds Leo, a buying-signal agent in the same market, so read with that in mind. This comparison is about the two tools in the title.

Vendr's contract data, last updated February 2026, puts the median Lusha buyer at $15,999 a year across 147 purchases, from $6,000 to $70,403, and the median ZoomInfo buyer at $33,500 across 1,577 purchases, from $7,240 to $156,042. Both medians sit far above one seat's list price, so they reflect team contracts (our reading).

Data quality: what each vendor claims

  • Lusha states 98% email accuracy and 85% US and 86% global phone accuracy, and 97% email accuracy in EMEA, without a published test behind those figures. It does publish the method of a data decay study: in September 2026, across 148,000 records, 12.25% of US sales leaders had changed roles within a year.
  • ZoomInfo lists a "96%" email deliverability rate and "87%" mobile number accuracy without describing the measurement on its data page. Its own pages disagree on size: the data page says 122M+ companies and 300M+ verified emails, its comparison page "500M contacts, 100M companies, 200M+ verified emails".
  • ZoomInfo's comparison page doesn't match Lusha's own figures. The page, updated October 2026, says "Lusha reports 280M+ contacts and 30M+ companies"; Lusha's data page says 515M+ contacts and 29M+ companies.
  • Independent tests. We found none. Lusha's own comparison says "We did not find an equivalent independent test that included Lusha or Cognism." The head-to-head tests we found come from parties with a stake, such as BounceZero, which sells email verification: its July 2026 check of about 16,600 exported contacts per vendor covered emails only, not phone numbers.

To test before you pay, look up the same few people you can verify in both free tiers (Lusha's 40 credits cover 8 phone numbers; ZoomInfo Lite gives 10 exports a month) and count the numbers that reach the right person.

When to pick Lusha

  • You are a small team that wants monthly billing. Starter costs $49.90 a month, Pro includes 2 seats and Premium 5, and you can test on the free plan first.
  • You reveal contacts while you browse. The extension "Reveals contacts on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and company sites", and one credit balance covers the workspace, extension, API and MCP server. Note that section 8.2 of LinkedIn's User Agreement bans software "(such as crawlers, browser plugins and add-ons or any other technology) to scrape or copy the Services, including profiles" (User Agreement).
  • You sell outside the US. Lusha publishes counts per country, for example 3.1M+ contacts in Sweden, 1.9M+ in Denmark, 1.4M+ in Norway and 1M+ in Finland.

When to pick ZoomInfo

  • You call into North America at volume. ZoomInfo lists 135M+ direct dials in total and 77.7M+ mobile numbers in North America.
  • You need intent and account intelligence. ZoomInfo lists 4,500+ intent topics, with buyer intent signals and website visitors on Copilot Advanced; person-level visitor identification is US only, and "GDPR markets are not in scope".
  • You have RevOps and a budget. Expect an annual contract and a credit volume set with sales; ZoomInfo's own guide advises: "Start with Lite to calibrate actual usage before committing to a paid credit volume."

When neither fits

  • You call into Europe and need do-not-call screening in many countries. Lusha's screening covers UK and US tables on its Scale plan only. Cognism's help center lists do-not-call registries in 16 countries, including Sweden, Norway and Finland, but it publishes no prices and its packages include 5 seats; see Lusha alternatives.
  • You need many phone numbers per dollar. Apollo Basic's 2,500 monthly credits buy about 312 numbers per seat for $49 a month billed annually; see Lusha vs Apollo.
  • You don't want to buy lists or cold call. An agent such as Leo by Revexa watches buying signals such as hiring, funding and new leaders in the buyer role, writes LinkedIn and email messages in your voice, and by default you approve each draft before it is sent; $99 a month in the US, €89 in Europe, 999 SEK in Sweden, excluding VAT, 7 days free. Wrong choice if your motion depends on phone numbers or a dialer, or you want a database to export: Leo has none of them.

GDPR and where the data is

  • Lusha says "our data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States of America", with staff in Israel under the EU's adequacy decision and other transfers under Standard Contractual Clauses. It relies on its "legitimate interest in providing accurate and up to date Contact Data" and says "Italian contact data is not currently available"; Italy's data protection authority, the Garante, opened an inquiry into Lusha in April 2025.
  • ZoomInfo says personal data "may be transferred to, and stored and processed in, the United States", relying primarily on Standard Contractual Clauses plus the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and names VeraSafe as its EU representative.
  • Same penalty for sharing. Both sets of terms set liquidated damages of $2.00 per contact record disclosed to a third party.
  • Your outreach needs your own lawful basis, usually legitimate interest under GDPR art. 6.1 f, and Germany's UWG §7 requires at least presumed consent for advertising calls to businesses. This is not legal advice.
