Lusha alternatives 2026: 10 tools compared on European data

2026-10-15 · updated 2026-10-15 · 10 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa

Teams look for Lusha alternatives mainly over credits and Europe: a phone number costs 5 credits, do-not-call screening is described for the UK and US and sold only on the Scale plan, Lusha stores its data in the US, and it says "Italian contact data is not currently available". No independent test shows which vendor has better European data, but on their own claims Cognism stores data in the EU and its help center lists do-not-call registries in 16 countries, Kaspr claims 200 million+ European contacts from $65 a user a month, Vainu covers the Nordics from national registers, and Dropcontact and Hunter find emails on EU servers.

Checked on 15 October 2026 against each vendor's pricing, privacy and help pages. Revexa builds Leo, one of the tools below; it is not a contact database, so it has its own section after the list.

The table is ordered by starting price: the lowest monthly US dollar price a buyer in the US sees for the cheapest paid plan, whatever the billing term, with euros converted at the ECB rate of 15 October 2026 ($1.1208 per euro). Free plans don't count, ties are alphabetical, and tools without a public price come last.

Why teams look for Lusha alternatives

From Lusha's own pages (plan by plan in Lusha pricing 2026):

  • Phone numbers are expensive in credits. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5, so Starter's 400 monthly credits buy 80 numbers, by our calculation (pricing).
  • Limited do-not-call screening. The feature hides numbers on national do-not-call tables to help with "direct marketing regulations in the UK and US", and it "is available on Scale plans only" (docs).
  • US storage. "our data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States of America" (privacy notice, September 2026).
  • Italy. Lusha says "Italian contact data is not currently available" (facts). Italy's data protection authority, the Garante, opened an inquiry into Lusha in April 2025 (Garante).
  • Terms. Cancellation should be requested 14 days before the term ends, and "all payments under these Terms are non-refundable" (terms).

In Lusha's favour: it publishes contact counts for 238 countries and territories, such as 103.1M+ in Europe and 3.1M+ in Sweden (30 September 2026, data), more country detail than any alternative below, and it lists a GDPR certification from ePrivacyseal.

The alternatives one by one

1. RocketReach

Email and phone lookups. Best for: cheaper verified emails. Wrong choice if: you need phone numbers (from Pro, $75 a month billed annually in the US, $52 from Sweden) or published European figures. Price: Essentials $33 a month billed annually in the US, or $19 and $39 monthly as shown from Sweden (pricing, 15 Oct 2026).

2. Hunter

An email finder and verifier with cold email sending; its servers "are located in Belgium" (privacy). Best for: work emails only. Wrong choice if: you call; the plans list email data only. Price: Starter $34 a month billed yearly or $49 monthly for a buyer in the US, and €34 or €49 in the EU (pricing, 16 Oct 2026).

3. Apollo

A contact database with sequences and a dialer. Best for: more phone numbers per dollar: about 300 a month on Basic, at 8 credits each, against 80 on Lusha Starter (our calculation). Wrong choice if: you want EU hosting or published country figures. Price: Basic $49 per seat a month billed annually or $65 monthly (pricing, 15 Oct 2026).

4. Kaspr

A Chrome extension that reveals emails and numbers from LinkedIn profiles, "Born in France" and part of Cognism since 2022 (data, about). Best for: the closest swap for Lusha with a European focus. Wrong choice if: one user needs more than 100 numbers a month, or you need do-not-call screening, which Kaspr's pages don't mention. Price: Starter $65 per user a month, billed monthly (€59 in Europe) (pricing, 16 Oct 2026).

5. Dropcontact

A French email finder that works from a name and company website, without a database. Best for: adding emails to lists you already have, on "EU-based servers". Wrong choice if: you need to search for new people or phone numbers. Price: Starter €66 a month billed yearly or €79 monthly for 500 credits (pricing, 15 Oct 2026).

6. UpLead

Emails and mobiles on credits. Best for: one user who wants a simple credit plan. Wrong choice if: Europe is why you are leaving Lusha; UpLead stores data "on servers located in the United States" (privacy). Price: Essentials $74 a month billed annually or $99 monthly for 170 credits a month (pricing, 15 Oct 2026).

7. Leadfeeder

Called Dealfront until 24 March 2026 (FAQ); identifies companies visiting your website and adds contact data. Best for: EU-hosted visitor identification. Wrong choice if: you need many mobile numbers; Leadfeeder says it has "fewer personal phone numbers and mobile direct dials than others" (GDPR). Price: Discover from €79 a month billed annually or €113 monthly; contacts from €369 on Activate (pricing, 15 Oct 2026).

8. Vainu

Nordic company data from the national registers, with decision-makers reviewed by hand in Sweden and Finland about every six months (data). Best for: selling in the Nordics; for Sweden it reports 3.2M contacts against Lusha's 3.1M+ (Vainu). Wrong choice if: you sell outside the Nordics. Price: Reach from €250 a month on an annual licence (pricing, 15 Oct 2026; see Apollo vs Vainu).

9. Cognism

Contact data with phone-verified mobiles and do-not-call screening; its help center lists 16 countries. Best for: teams that call decision-makers across Europe. Wrong choice if: you are one or two people or need a public price; packages include 5 seats. Price: not published; Cognism's blog gives Standard "starting at $12,750" and Pro "starting at $17,000" (blog, 15 Oct 2026).

10. ZoomInfo

A broad database with intent on higher plans. Best for: larger teams that need US depth. Wrong choice if: Europe is the priority: it lists 66M+ European contacts against 157.8M+ in North America (data). Price: not published; Vendr's median is $33,500 a year (Vendr, 15 Oct 2026).

Lusha alternatives with better European data: what the vendors publish

From the vendors' own documents:

  • Coverage figures. Lusha publishes counts for 238 countries and territories and Vainu for each Nordic country; Kaspr gives a European total, ZoomInfo one per region, Cognism a percentage and Apollo no regional figures. Without an independent test, compare on companies you already know (Nordic B2B data tools).
  • Sources. Lusha names four, among them "The opt-in Lusha Community" and "Licensed partner directories" (facts); Cognism combines "first party with third party sources" (compliance); Kaspr uses public registries, its own collection and third-party providers (data); Vainu uses the national registers; Dropcontact has no database.
  • Storage. Cognism "stores personal data inside the European Union" (privacy); Leadfeeder and Vainu host on AWS in Ireland (Leadfeeder, Vainu); Kaspr processes data in the UK, EU or EEA "as far as possible" (privacy). Lusha, Apollo, UpLead and ZoomInfo store or may store data in the US.
  • Do-not-call screening. Cognism's help center lists 16 countries, Sweden, Norway and Finland included, and its compliance page 12 (help center, compliance); Apollo six, in Europe the UK and Germany (Apollo); Lusha's docs name the UK and US, on Scale plans only. Kaspr and Vainu don't mention screening on the pages we checked.
  • Your own duties. Most of these vendors rely on legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6.1 f, but you still need your own lawful basis (GDPR guide) and must inform each person "at the latest at the time of the first communication" (Article 14, GDPR). Germany's UWG §7 requires prior express consent for advertising email. This is not legal advice.

If what you want is meetings, not a database

Data is only half the job. Leo by Revexa, our product, is a buying-signal agent rather than a data tool: it builds your ideal customer profile from your website, watches signals such as hiring, funding, new executives in the buying role and engagement with competitors' LinkedIn posts, finds the right person and drafts LinkedIn messages and emails in your voice. By default you approve every draft. It costs €89 a month in Europe, $99 in the US and 999 SEK in Sweden, excluding VAT, with 7 days free and no lock-in (pricing). Wrong choice if: you need phone numbers, list exports or website visitor identification.

More prices: what 30 sales tools cost.

Common questions

Which Lusha alternative has better European data?

No independent test answers that. By vendor claims, Cognism stores data in the EU and its help center lists do-not-call registries in 16 countries, Kaspr claims 200 million+ European contacts and Vainu covers the Nordics. Test each on companies you know.

Apollo Basic: 2,500 credits per seat a month at 8 credits per number is about 300 numbers (our calculation) for $49 a seat billed annually. Kaspr Starter includes 100 phone credits a month for $65 a user. Lusha Starter buys 80 numbers for $37.45.

Does Lusha check numbers against do-not-call lists?

Only on Scale plans, and Lusha's docs describe it for the UK and US. Cognism's help center lists 16 countries and Apollo six.

Is Lusha GDPR compliant?
