Outreach vs Salesloft 2026: price, AI and who should pick which
2026-10-16 · updated 2026-10-16 · 9 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa
Pick Outreach if you want engagement, conversation intelligence, deal management and forecasting in one platform, with AI priced per action in credits and EU hosting you choose at sign-up. Pick Salesloft if you want Clari Forecast, which it has sold since its merger with Clari closed on 3 December 2025, next to its Cadence engagement product, or texting plans that cover Europe; Vendr's median Salesloft buyer pays $30,740 a year against $45,600 for Outreach. Neither publishes a platform price, and both sell contracts whose fees can't be cancelled, so a team of a few sellers is usually better off with a tool that bills monthly (our judgement).
Checked on 16 October 2026 against each vendor's pricing page, terms, help center and newsroom, plus Vendr and AWS Marketplace. Prices are in US dollars, excluding tax. Revexa builds Leo, one of the tools under "When neither fits", so read with that in mind.

What really separates them
Plans and contract clauses are in Outreach pricing and Salesloft pricing; 30 tools are compared in our pricing research.
How you pay
- Outreach combines "seat-based access, where you pay for each user, and consumption-based AI credits". Amplify Essentials includes 10,000 credits, Core 25,000, Plus 50,000 and Pro 100,000. A Research Agent run costs 1 credit, a meeting brief 2 and an MCP tool call 0.10 (AI action summary, updated 13 August 2026).
- Salesloft lists products, not plans: Cadence, Conversation Intelligence, Deals, Rhythm, Clari Forecast, Inspect and AI Agents, all on a quote (Salesloft).
- Ten sellers, our estimate: about $21,600 a year on Outreach at its own AWS rate of $180 per seat a month, before calling and services. Salesloft confirms no rate; Vendr's small-team range of $60 to $100 per user a month gives $7,200 to $12,000.
Forecasting after the Clari merger
Since 2 September 2026 "Salesloft is now the company and platform brand going forward", while "Clari Forecast retains the Clari name" (Salesloft). Its website still has separate logins for Salesloft, Clari Forecast, Conversations, Drift and Groove, so ask which apps your reps would use. Salesloft's announcement of 24 September 2026 lists "Agentic Forecasting" and "Agentic Playbook" under "What's next", so treat them as roadmap (Salesloft).
AI agents
- Outreach lists Research, Personalization, Meeting Prep, Deal, Revenue, Omni and Reply agents, plus Agent Studio for building your own and an MCP server (Outreach). Its trust page lists ISO 42001, the standard for AI management systems.
- Salesloft lists agents for account and person research, buyer identification, AI email steps in cadences, deal summaries, methodology extraction and coaching, plus an MCP server for AI apps "(e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot)" (Salesloft).
Calling and texting
Outreach publishes its dialer prices: US Standard $10 per user a month for 1,000 minutes, Europe Core $15 (UK, France and Germany), Europe Full $25 (30+ countries, the Nordics included), or $300 a month per organization for 50 countries (Outreach Voice). Texts are "only supported through Outreach-specific numbers purchased through Twilio with valid USA country codes" (Outreach). Salesloft sells "unlimited talk and text plans" for the US, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe at flat rates it doesn't publish (Salesloft).
What each vendor's comparison page gets wrong
- Outreach's page says Salesloft "focuses on sales engagement, leaving gaps in execution, forecasting and deal visibility" (Outreach). Salesloft lists Clari Forecast and Deals among its products.
- Salesloft's page says "We're the only complete revenue orchestration platform with an app" (Salesloft). Outreach's app "is available for both iOS and Android phones" (Outreach).
Independent tests
We found no independent hands-on test. Analyst reports come closest; they are paywalled, so these placements are as the vendors report them. In Gartner's first Magic Quadrant for Revenue Action Orchestration (December 2025), Outreach was a Leader, while Clari was a Leader and Salesloft a Visionary, rated separately (Outreach, Salesloft). Outreach says it was a Leader in the Forrester Wave for Revenue Orchestration Platforms, Q3 2026 (Outreach); Salesloft's comparison page still cites the Q3 2024 edition, and we found no Salesloft statement about 2026.
When to pick Outreach
- One platform from prospecting to forecast, with AI use you can trace per action.
- EU hosting matters: you choose the EU environment, on AWS in Dublin, when you sign up.
- You call into Europe and want calling plans with published prices.
- Wrong choice if you want to pay month to month or start small: standard terms make fees due upfront, and the smallest contract in Vendr's data is $8,660 a year.
When to pick Salesloft
- Forecasting is the main goal and you want Clari Forecast on the same contract as engagement.
- Your budget sits nearer Vendr's Salesloft median ($30,740) than Outreach's ($45,600).
- Your reps text and use LinkedIn Sales Navigator steps (InMail, Connection Request, Research, Ask for an Introduction) inside cadences.
- Wrong choice if you have fewer than about 10 sellers, given the seat minimum Vendr reports, or need a public price.
When neither fits
- A small team that needs sequences. Apollo Basic costs $49 per seat a month billed annually, with unlimited sequences and a US dialer that uses credits (Apollo; see Apollo pricing). Reply.io Multichannel starts at $89 per user a month billed annually, for email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS (Reply.io).
- You want outreach on buying signals rather than a platform for reps. Leo by Revexa watches signals such as hiring, funding and new leaders in the buyer role, writes LinkedIn messages and emails in your voice, and by default you approve each draft. It costs $99 a month in the US, €89 in Europe and 999 SEK in Sweden, excluding VAT, with 7 days free and no lock-in (pricing). Wrong choice if you need a sales engagement platform for a team of reps, with a dialer, call recording and forecasting.
GDPR and where the data is
- Outreach. At sign-up "you may choose to host your data in North America or the EU", the EU option on AWS in Dublin (help center). Its sub-processor list, modified 13 July 2026, gives the United States for its LLM providers, Anthropic and OpenAI. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, with Rivacy GmbH in Hamburg as EU representative (privacy). The trust page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701.
- Salesloft. In December 2021 Salesloft said new customers based in the EU "will have their customer data stored in our Frankfurt, Germany data center" (Salesloft). That predates the merger: all 22 sub-processors on Clari's list are in the USA, so ask where Clari Forecast data is stored. The DPA allows transfers under the Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, standard contractual clauses. The trust center lists GDPR, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and SOC 2 Type II, and describes a 2025 incident in which an attacker "obtained OAuth tokens for Drift customers' technology integrations"; Mandiant found no evidence "beyond limited reconnaissance" in the Salesloft application environment.
- Your own outreach. Emailing EU prospects needs your own lawful basis, usually legitimate interest under GDPR art. 6.1 f, and Germany's UWG §7 requires prior consent for advertising email; see our GDPR guide. This is not legal advice.
Common questions
Is Outreach or Salesloft better in 2026?
Outreach suits teams that want engagement, deal management and forecasting in one platform, with EU hosting chosen at sign-up. Salesloft suits teams that want Clari Forecast next to its engagement tools. No independent test ranks them.
How much do Outreach and Salesloft cost?
Neither publishes a platform price. Vendr's median buyer pays $45,600 a year for Outreach and $30,740 for Salesloft (February 2026). Outreach's own AWS offer prices 50 seats at $108,000 a year, $180 per seat a month (our calculation).
What changed at Salesloft after the Clari merger?
The merger closed on 3 December 2025, and since 2 September 2026 the combined company uses one brand, Salesloft. Clari Forecast keeps its name and is sold as a Salesloft product, under one MSA for both companies.
Can I cancel Outreach or Salesloft before the contract ends?
Not under the standard terms. Outreach orders are "non-cancelable and non-refundable" and renew for 12 months unless you give notice 30 days before the end. Salesloft fees are "non-cancelable", and multi-year terms are committed for the whole period.
Do Outreach or Salesloft store data in the EU?
Outreach does: customers can choose Dublin at sign-up. Salesloft said in 2021 that new EU customers' data is stored in Frankfurt, but that predates the Clari merger. Some AI and Clari sub-processors are in the US, so ask what leaves the EU.
