How to find companies hiring SDRs (2026): 4 free methods
2026-10-15 · updated 2026-10-15 · 11 min read · Adam Axelsson, founder of Revexa
To find companies hiring SDRs, search where companies publish jobs: the public feeds of applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, LinkedIn Jobs with a daily alert and, in Sweden, Platsbanken's free API. Free live lists do it for you: on 14 October 2026, 115 B2B companies on Y Combinator's public list had open SDR or BDR roles, and on 15 October, 314 Swedish companies had 485 open B2B sales ads, agencies and mass hiring excluded. A hire is a reason to reach out, not proof of budget: in Bloomberry's analysis of about a million software purchases, a 20% rise in job openings went with only 7% more purchases.
Checked on 15 October 2026 against each source's own pages, with test calls to the free APIs. Revexa builds Leo, one of the tools below, and publishes the free live lists named here. Both tables are in alphabetical order.
Watching accounts or discovering new ones?
SDRs (sales development representatives) and BDRs (business development representatives) book meetings for account executives. Have target accounts? Watch their job boards. Want companies you don't know yet? Search across boards.
| Method | Best for | Wrong choice if | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| ATS job feeds (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Teamtailor) | Watching target accounts | You want companies you don't know yet | Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby |
Google site: search | Quick discovery without code | You need a complete list | |
| LinkedIn Jobs and job alerts | Broad coverage with daily alerts | You need exports or an API | LinkedIn Help |
| Platsbanken and JobAd Links | Swedish companies, open data (CC0) | You sell outside Sweden | Arbetsförmedlingen |
| Revexa's live lists and MCP server (ours) | A ready list of YC companies or Swedish companies today | Your buyers are neither | Revexa signals |
| RoleDawn's public list | New SDR roles across 4,481 career pages | You want alerts: paid plans are closed to new buyers | RoleDawn |
| Startup job boards (Y Combinator, Welcome to the Jungle, The Hub) | Browsing early-stage companies | You need structured data | YC, WTTJ, The Hub |
Method 1: read the ATS job feeds
Many startups post jobs through an applicant tracking system (ATS) with a public job board. Greenhouse says "authentication is not required for any GET endpoints", Lever says published postings "are publicly viewable", and our test calls to Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby worked without a key on 15 October 2026.
| ATS | Public feed (replace the capitals) | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Ashby | https://api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/BOARD_NAME | publishedAt is when a job was last published |
| Greenhouse | https://boards-api.greenhouse.io/v1/boards/BOARD_TOKEN/jobs | first_published is when a role first went live |
| Lever | https://api.lever.co/v0/postings/COMPANY?mode=json | Accounts on Lever's EU instance use api.eu.lever.co |
| Teamtailor | https://CAREER_SITE/jobs.rss | First 100 jobs; offset or per_page for more (guide) |
| Workable | No documented public API | apply.workable.com/api/v1/widget/accounts/COMPANY answered our test without a key, but Workable doesn't document it |
Teamtailor has offices in Stockholm and across Europe and says more than 13,000 companies use it (Teamtailor).
- List the boards your target accounts use. For startups, try Ashby first: of 2,391 active Y Combinator B2B, fintech and industrial companies we checked in October 2026, we found public boards for 593, and 69% of those were on Ashby, 22% on Greenhouse and 10% on Lever (a lower bound, since we guessed board names).
- Fetch each feed daily, keep titles matching "sales development", SDR or BDR, and compare with yesterday: a new title is a new role.
No code? The Apify actor in the paid table reads the same feeds.
Method 2: search with Google and LinkedIn
Google documents site:, quotes for exact matches, - to exclude a word and after: for pages updated after a date (Google):
site:greenhouse.io "sales development representative"
site:jobs.lever.co "SDR" -manager
site:jobs.ashbyhq.com "business development representative"
site:teamtailor.com "SDR" after:2026-09-15
A site: search includes subdomains, so site:greenhouse.io covers boards.greenhouse.io and job-boards.greenhouse.io. Career sites on a company's own domain won't show, and Google says inclusion "is not guaranteed": this is discovery, not a complete list.
LinkedIn's search bar accepts Boolean strings, with AND, OR and NOT in capitals, quotes and parentheses (LinkedIn Help). Search jobs for "sales development representative" OR SDR OR BDR, then switch on the job alert toggle below the results. Alerts arrive daily or weekly, up to 20 per member.
Method 3: Sweden, with Platsbanken's free API
Platsbanken is the job board of the Swedish Public Employment Service. Its JobSearch API is public, needs no key or registration, and the ads are licensed CC0 (Arbetsförmedlingen).
- Search the occupation group Företagssäljare (B2B salespeople), ID
oXSW_fbY_XrY.published-aftertakes minutes, so 1440 means the last 24 hours. On 15 October 2026 at 17:30 CEST the group held 1,270 open ads.
https://jobsearch.api.jobtechdev.se/search?occupation-group=oXSW_fbY_XrY&published-after=1440&limit=100
- Add free text for SDR titles, since SDR ads land in several groups:
q=SDRreturned 15 ads, and the first ten alone sat in four groups, from B2B sales to customer service. Repeat with BDR, mötesbokare (meeting booker) and innesäljare (inside sales). - Remove agencies. Recruiters, staffing firms and outsourced telesales companies advertise for others.
- Track known accounts with the
employerparameter, which takes a name or an organisation number. - Widen with JobAd Links, a second free API that "includes around 30% more ads than Platsbanken" from several job boards (JobAd Links). For Företagssäljare it returned 1,485 ads on 15 October.
Our list of Swedish companies hiring salespeople runs steps 1 and 3 daily, nationwide and for 20 counties such as Stockholm. The Sweden sales hiring index shows the trend: 13,434 such ads from January to September 2026, 19.2% fewer than a year earlier. For Norway's and Finland's job data, see finding B2B customers in the Nordics.
Method 4: a ready list or your AI assistant
- Startups hiring salespeople (ours) reads the boards of companies on Y Combinator's public list weekly. On 14 October 2026, 268 B2B companies had 979 open sales roles; 115 were hiring SDRs or BDRs and 47 a founding seller or head of sales. Pages for the US, the UK, Europe and remote.
- Your AI assistant. Revexa's free MCP server,
https://revexa.io/api/mcp, needs no account or key and filters startups by region and role, such as SDR (setup). - RoleDawn lists SDR and BDR roles new on a company's board for free, but has tracked boards only since 5 October 2026 (guide).
- Startup job boards. Y Combinator lists sales jobs at its startups; Welcome to the Jungle (otta.com now redirects there) covers France, the UK and the US; The Hub, Nordic startups.

Is a company hiring SDRs a buying signal?
For anyone selling to sales teams, yes, in our judgement: new SDRs need lists, tools, training and a manager. For everyone else it shows growth more than intent.
We found no independent controlled study of hiring signals. The most cited numbers come from Bloomberry, a data company, which compared about a million software purchases from March to September 2025 at companies with 200 to 1,000 employees (Bloomberry):
- A rise of 20% or more in job openings went with "just 7% more software purchases"; the author suggests "it might be too early of an indicator", since tools for a team may wait until people are hired.
- A rise of 20% or more in actual headcount went with 38% more purchases.
- Hiring a VP, such as a VP of Sales, went with 28% more.
These are correlations across all openings, not SDR roles. In practice: time your first message on the ad, then check whether the sales team grows, for example with Sales Navigator's department headcount growth filter. More in our guide to B2B buying signals and buying signal tools compared.
Who to contact, what to say and when
Who. The person the SDRs will report to: the head of sales, or the founder at a startup without one. In our judgement, a new sales leader or RevOps lead often picks the tools.
What. Lead with the hire and ask about the decision it creates; skip "congrats on the growth". In a Gartner survey of 632 B2B buyers, 73% said they actively avoid suppliers who send irrelevant outreach (Gartner, 2025).
Fictional example (data tool): "Hi Sara, I saw Acme is hiring its first two SDRs. Where will their prospect lists come from: is that decided, or still open?"
Fictional example (training): "Hi Sam, your SDR ad says the new hires will help build the outbound playbook. Who runs their first month: you, or a program?"
When. Twice, in our judgement: while the ad is live, and when the new SDRs appear on LinkedIn.
Rules in Europe
Under GDPR, direct marketing "may be regarded as carried out for a legitimate interest" (recital 47, article 6(1)(f)) after a balancing test. Say where you got the person's data at the latest in your first message (article 14) and stop if they object (article 21) (GDPR). Contact details in a job ad are published for applicants, and recital 47 says a person's interests can override yours "where data subjects do not reasonably expect further processing". Our reading: use the ad to find the company, then reach the buyer another way (legitimate interest).
Sweden's consent rule for marketing email covers natural persons, and every marketing email needs an opt-out address (Marknadsföringslagen 19 and 20 §§). Germany requires prior consent (UWG §7); Denmark and Norway are stricter than Sweden (Nordic rules). This is not legal advice.
Where Leo fits
Leo by Revexa is a buying-signal agent: it builds your ideal customer profile from your website, watches signals such as hiring, job ads including Platsbanken, funding and new executives, finds the right person and drafts LinkedIn and email messages in your voice. Review mode is the default, so you approve each draft in the portal, Slack or iMessage unless you switch on autonomous mode for a channel (pricing).
Wrong choice if you want a list to export: Leo is no database. It blocks cold messages to leads in Germany automatically; for Denmark and Norway you decide, as you approve each draft in review mode.
Common questions
How do I find companies that are hiring SDRs?
Watch the public Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby feeds of accounts you know, use LinkedIn job alerts and Google site: searches to discover new ones, and in Sweden query Platsbanken's free, keyless API. Revexa's free lists cover YC startups and Swedish companies.
How do I find companies hiring their first SDR?
Search ATS boards for SDR or BDR titles with "founding" or "first". Then check the company's board for other SDR roles, see who the role reports to (a founder suggests a new function) and look for current SDRs on LinkedIn. On 14 October 2026 our startups list showed 47 YC companies hiring a founding seller or head of sales.
Who should I contact at a company hiring SDRs?
The person the SDRs will report to: usually the head of sales, or the founder at a small startup. Not the recruiter or the contact person in the ad.
Can I email the contact person in a job ad?
Their details are published for applicants, and GDPR's balancing test weighs what a person can reasonably expect. In our reading, use the ad to find the company, not the contact. This is not legal advice.
